Windows 8 download connection failed

Error "We can't connect right now" while upgrading to Windows 8.

This error may occur due to few reasons:

1.     Incorrect date and time: Check your system date and time.

2.     Internet Connection: Try to use wired Connection if using Wireless connection. (Bypass router)

3.     Check on a different PC.

4.     Issue may be due to server. Contact Microsoft ESD team.

  1. I saw a lot of posts and complicated resolutions. I called the Microsoft ESD Team and the person connected to my computer through a remote session (http://LogMeIn123.com) and simply right-clicked on the Upgrade Assistant application exe, clicked on the Compatibility tab, changed the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" Windows 7 and checked the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox. That is all!
