How to Disable the Lock Screen in Windows 8

For those who wish to get rid of the Lock Screen which appears before signing in, can follow these steps:-

1.     Launch run command by clicking "Windows + R", type "gpedit.msc" and click "OK".

2.     You can also launch "gpedit.msc" by searching it through search charms. It would be available in Apps section.

3.     Once the Group Policy Editor is launched, navigate through the following section: Computer configuration, Administrative Tools, Control Panel, and Personalization.

4.     Double click the option "Do not display the Lock Screen" and select "Enabled".

Now you can logoff and you would not find the Lock Screen Any more.
