Office 365 (2013) Installation Failed

Error: Something Wrong Happened while installing Office 365

Hi All, We have seen a lot issues where installation of Office 365 fails with error: Something Wrong happened. Go for the following steps:

1.     It might be due to security software not allowing the same : Uninstall (Don't disable)

2.     Reset the TCP catalogue and IP by running following commands in command prompt as administrator and restart the computer:

a.      netsh winsock reset

b.     netsh int ip reset reset.log

3.     A lot of times Windows Firewall might be blocking the ports. Run these command  in command prompt as administrator to reset firewall: netsh advfirewall reset.

4.     Switch for the wired connection.

5.     Put the computer in clean boot state: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

6.     Check for system files violations by running sfc /scannow in command prompt as administrator.

7.     Run repair installation.
