Uninstalling Windows Live Essentials Using Different Methods

Using Control Panel:
Launch control panel and select Windows Live Essentials to uninstall it. You would be required to select “Remove one or more Windows Live programs”. Remember that “Repair all Windows Live Programs” would start reinstalling all Windows Live Programs.

Manually launch the un-installation wizard:

a.      In Windows XP, Click on Start and then click on Run and type %programfiles%\Windows Live\Installer (or copy and paste) and press OK.

In Windows Vista/7 (32 bit), Click Start and type %programfiles%\Windows Live\Installer into the Search text box and hit Enter.

For Windows 64 bit versions, Click Start and type %programfiles(x86)%\Windows Live\Installer on the Search text box and then hit Enter

b.     Double click on wlarp.exe and select the option. Remove one or more Windows Live programs (see left picture)

c.      Select the product(s) you want to uninstall and click on Uninstall (see right picture)

d.     Note: If you select all products Windows Live Essentials will be uninstalled

e.      Follow the Onscreen instructions.

Uninstall via CMD line options:

a.         Go to Start ->All Programs ->Accessories

b.         Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator

c.          Run the following commands to uninstall Windows Live Essentials:

(64 bit) “c:\program files (x86)\windows live\installer\wlarp.exe” /cleanup:all /q
(32 bit) "c:\program files\windows live\installer\wlarp.exe" /cleanup:all /q

Note: You can search for wlarp.exe to download the uninstaller manually.
